My Testimony: How I Gave My Life to Jesus

My name is Dania and I’m 21 years old. Today I want to share my testimony. I don’t remember a lot about my life before knowing Jesus, mostly because I was just a little girl. But from what my mom and my aunts told me, I was always quiet, very still, calm, the kind of child who would stay right where you left her. I didn’t cause much trouble. But even from an early age, I faced difficult moments. When I was around two years old, I got seriously sick. My mom says I would pee almost like blood, and when I went to the bathroom, it looked like I was dying. There was no cure, no medicine, no answer. But God rescued me. That was the first time He saved me. Around that time, both of my parents where not with me, they had emigrated, and I was left with my mother’s family. Then again, around the age of five, I started getting sick again. This time, I would pee myself without even noticing. I wasn’t aware of what was happening to my body, and it was a scary experience for me and my family. I have a couple of blur memories when my aunts used to go seek help, and God gave me life again! A year later we had started attending church and someone introduced us to true faith in Jesus Christ, and that is how I knew God. He healed me and my family. From ages seven to ten, I began experiencing very deep and spiritual things. God showed me the reality of the spiritual world. I would see demons, and I would see angels too. I didn’t fully understand it, but I was committed. I loved God deeply, and even though I don’t exactly remember the first time I accepted Jesus in my heart, I knew I was in love with Him. I would get excited when the church meetings began. I would pray on my own, and I remember something very special that happened when I was in school.

One day, I forgot to bring two specific notebooks the teacher had asked for, and I panicked. I started praying, “God, if you help me with this situation, I’ll pray one hour every day from now on.” Then I realized those notebooks were already with the teacher! She had taken them before. I was so relieved… and I kept my promise. I started praying for one hour every day. At first, I had to break it into little chunks of 15 minutes here, 10 minutes there. I was even doing the math in my head, making sure I completed the hour. But as I did it, God started showing me even more incredible things. He honored my promise. He met me in those prayers. Then, on November 24, I received Jesus Christ this time, I remember the date. I was in sixth grade, and I believe it was 2011 or 2012. That day marked a new beginning for me. Since then, God has not only been my divine Father, but He’s also been my closest friend. If He hadn’t been with me, I’d be completely lost. I’d be dead (4 meters underground). That’s how serious it is. God is the most incredible, faithful, and beautiful thing that has ever happened to my life.

Even now, I still struggle. I get caught up in distractions such as housework, homework, and sometimes things that don’t even matter. And I feel like I let Him down. But He’s still here. I pray for His guidance daily. I want to improve my relationship with Him, and I know He’s helping me every step of the way. This is just the beginning of my story. There are so many more things He has done for me. But for now, I just want to say that I belong to Jesus. And I’m grateful for all the miracles He has done.

Well, that was my testimony of how I gave my life to Jesus.

Now I’d love to hear yours. If you’ve already given your life to Him, what’s your story? And if you haven’t yet made that decision… what’s holding you back from the truth?

Jesus is not just a name or a religion He’s a loving Savior who sees you, knows you, and wants to walk with you. I’ve experienced His love, His healing, and His faithfulness. And I believe you can too.

Feel free to share your story in the comments!
