Reflections on Love, Relationships, and Human Behavior

What immediately makes you lose interest in someone romantically? For me, one of the main things that immediately makes me lose interest in someone romantically is when they do not share the same values and beliefs as me. I think that is the core foundation of a relationship. Especially when it comes to religion and faith, if two people are not aligned in that aspect, I personally believe the relationship is pointless from the beginning. It does not mean the other person is bad or less valuable as a human being. It simply means that both people are walking in different directions in life. You can respect someone, care about them, and even be friends with them, but when it comes to building a future together, shared beliefs matter deeply to me. Can two people care about each other and still be incompatible? I think two people can care about each other, but not necessarily in a deeply romantic way if they are fundamentally incompatible. I would honestly remove the word “deeply” fro...

The Moment Someone Chooses to Continue Hurting Others

One of the most difficult realizations I have had is understanding that some people are fully aware that they are hurting others, yet they still decide to continue. At first, I used to think that people who emotionally damage others simply did not realize the consequences of their actions. However, over time, I began to understand that there are situations in which a person clearly sees another person suffering and still chooses not to stop. This realization made me reflect deeply on human behavior, empathy, and responsibility. Many people explain manipulative or harmful behavior by connecting it to childhood trauma, emotional wounds, or painful life experiences. I believe that childhood experiences truly shape people and influence the adults they become. Someone who grew up surrounded by manipulation, emotional neglect, or toxic environments may repeat those same behaviors later in life because it became normalized for them. However, even if trauma explains certain actions, it do...

Singleness

The following paragraph highlights my perspective as a Christian. So, feel free to read and comment if you like!  Singleness is often misunderstood as availability, but the two are not the same. Some people choose to remain single for life, and that decision deserves respect. Others desire marriage, yet are living in a season of singleness, not because they are waiting for just anyone, but because they are waiting intentionally. Being single does not mean being emotionally or romantically available, nor does it mean entertaining flings, situationships, or temporary connections. For many, especially Christians, this season is a time of growth, prayer, and preparatio becoming fully rooted in God, healing emotionally, and working on personal character. It is easy to list standards for a future partner, but maturity asks a deeper question: Am I becoming the person I hope to date? Singleness is not a void to fill, but a season to steward wisely. Putting yourself “out there” does...
Recently, I listened to an emergency call that deeply affected me. In the recording, a woman called for help reporting a fire in her house and asking for an ambulance because her stepson was injured. When authorities arrived, they discovered that the fire had been started by a thirty-year-old man who set it intentionally to escape from the house. He explained that he had not been allowed to leave since he was around eleven years old. He described being fed limited rations and living without basic care, which made the situation extremely disturbing to hear. Listening to this felt like watching a horror movie, not because it was fictional, but because it revealed how real human decisions can deeply affect another person’s life. Reflecting on the call made me pause and analyze it from multiple perspectives instead of reacting emotionally alone. From the mother’s perspective, even if she gave custody to the father and possibly faced legal or personal limitations, I feel there was stil...
Don’t Compare Yourself to Others In today’s world, it is easy to look at other people and feel like we are not enough. Whether it is on social media, at school, or in everyday life, comparing ourselves to others is something many of us do without even realizing it. However, constantly comparing yourself to others can be harmful and stop you from being happy. It is important to focus on your own journey and remember that everyone’s path is different. Social media specially makes it easy to compare. We often see only the best moments of other people’s lives, perfect photos, achievements, and happy smiles. But we do not see the hard work, the struggles, or the times they feel down. Comparing your everyday reality with someone else’s highlight reel can make you feel insecure and unhappy. This can lower your self-esteem and make you forget how valuable and unique you truly are. The truth is that everyone has their own pace and their own path in life. People grow and succeed in d...
Why do I feel this way?  Recently, I’ve found myself feeling exhausted by the same daily routine. Every day seems to revolve around housework and repetitive responsibilities that, when I think about it spiritually, don’t really nourish my soul. At the end of the day, even if I’ve accomplished everything, I still feel a sense of emptiness. Why? Because I’ve been doing things on my own strength and forgetting to put God first. When we lose sight of Him, our priorities shift, and we become spiritually dry. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33 , “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This verse reminds me that when God isn’t our main focus, nothing else truly satisfies. Psalm 127:1 also says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” Without His presence in my daily life, even the most productive days feel meaningless. I’ve realized that true peace and direction come only when we invite God into our r...
Stories That Hurt and Why We Should Reflect on Them When we open a book, start a series, or watch a movie, we’re often expecting to be entertained. We expect laughter, tears, romance, drama, a mix of emotions that keep us hooked. But sometimes, what we’re really stepping into is something deeper: a story about heartbreak. One that isn’t full of magic or healing, but pain, confusion, and questionable decisions. I´m not a professional writer but I came up with a thought, and as you already know I love to share even the smallest opinions. So, here it goes. All of it comes down in those stories that we often find ourselves saying, “This is so relatable. ” Because is based on feelings and emotions that human beings feel. But what if we didn’t stop there? That is why as I reflect on the power of storytelling, I’ve come to believe that some stories should come with a quiet warning. Not a spoiler, not a trigger alert but an invitation to reflect. Something like this: “This story c...

How I Organize My Writing Process Writing is more than just putting words on a page, it’s about sharing a message, expressing ideas, and connecting with the audience. My writing process has developed with time and experience, and today I follow a clear structure that helps me stay focused and creative. In this essay, I’ll explain how I organize my writing process based on personal experience and the type of writing I want to produce.  The first thing I focus on is what I want to share . This means I ask myself: What do I want my audience to take away from this piece of writing?   A teacher might ban cell phones from the classroom to avoid distractions while maintaining students' focus on learning. Could banning cell phones from the classroom be the key to a more focused learning process? A teacher plays an important role in the student learning process, and can therefore ban cell phones from students in order to create an environment without distractions. With a technological device students are able to do several things that disturb the classroom, such as unauthorize use, chatting, cheating. These behaviors are very common in a classroom and if the teacher wants to create an environment that supports students’ success, banning cell phones from the classroom might be necessary.   Vegetarians may encounter health issues that prevent them from being healthier than meat eaters. Firstly, vegetarians may not meet the necessary amino acids, protein, and vitamins that the human body needs. 1 According to a report from Self Hack by Joe Cohen (2023), Vegetarians lack amino acids that are essential, and if vegetarians don’t have a proper diet to supplement these amino acids, they may encounter health issues. 2 This shows how vegetarians cannot be healthy if they lack of essential components for the body. 3 Consequently, there is a risk of fracture and anemia when vegetarians lack of amino acids such as lysine and methionine. 4 Research conducted by Lauren David (2021) explains how lysine helps the body to produce protein which make the muscle grow and repair among others aspects. Meanwhile, methionine like lysine is essential to produce protein, but helps to break down lips and fats as well. 5 Since the human body cannot produce these amino acids on its own,...

Having Siblings and Being the Only Child There are four distinctive differences between having siblings and being the only child. 1 First, having siblings means that children will have friends for life because they are more than just friends; they are also family. 2 Secondly, the presence of siblings facilitates the sharing of responsibilities, such as household chores and caring for one another. 3 Third, having siblings means sharing resources, which can limit them in some areas, such as children’s parents' attention, money for school, toys, and other things. 4 The number of siblings that the child will have can also influence in limitations on their material possessions. 5 Having siblings helps to socialize at a young age because children communicate daily not only with their parents but also with their siblings, who are friends, depending on their age gap. 6 On the other hand, being the only child is complicated sometimes because once the child gets home, friend...
