When Everything Changes in a Moment Hello, this is the second part of my tragedy. So you know, my phone is no longer working!!  Life can change in an instant. One moment you have everything in order, and the next, something unexpected happens that sweeps it all away. That’s what I experienced when my phone was broken. It might seem like a simple object, but inside there were hundreds of photos of memories I had collected over time. Each picture was a piece of my life: family gatherings, church moments, and simple but joyful days. In just one moment, all those memories were gone. This experience taught me an important lesson: things we build over time can be destroyed quickly, sometimes without warning. It’s a reminder that nothing is completely secure, and we must take steps to protect what matters to us. For example, I now realize the importance of backing up important files or photos. It also taught me to be more careful and value what I have, because even something smal...
When My Phone Decided to Go Swimming The day started so well, I was outside studying, enjoying the breeze, when I heard distant thunder. Like any reasonable person, I packed everything up and went inside. I placed my laptop, notebooks, and cracked-screen phone safely on the table… or so I thought. Fifteen minutes later, I went back outside to burn some trash (because, you know, multitasking life), and I took my phone with me to watch some YouTube shorts. Somehow, I set it down on top of something, got distracted, and completely forgot it existed. Fast forward: I helped my dad carry things, ran back and forth to the house, and only after a while did it hit me  Where’s my phone? Cue panic. I ran outside, and there it was… in the middle of a storm, taking a full 15–20-minute rain shower. And just to make things worse, it already had a cracked screen, so the water probably thought, “Perfect, an open door!” I guess phones need a little drama too. The Storm Behind the Storm I...
Don’t Compare Yourself to Others In today’s world, it is easy to look at other people and feel like we are not enough. Whether it is on social media, at school, or in everyday life, comparing ourselves to others is something many of us do without even realizing it. However, constantly comparing yourself to others can be harmful and stop you from being happy. It is important to focus on your own journey and remember that everyone’s path is different. Social media specially makes it easy to compare. We often see only the best moments of other people’s lives, perfect photos, achievements, and happy smiles. But we do not see the hard work, the struggles, or the times they feel down. Comparing your everyday reality with someone else’s highlight reel can make you feel insecure and unhappy. This can lower your self-esteem and make you forget how valuable and unique you truly are. The truth is that everyone has their own pace and their own path in life. People grow and succeed in d...
Why do I feel this way?  Recently, I’ve found myself feeling exhausted by the same daily routine. Every day seems to revolve around housework and repetitive responsibilities that, when I think about it spiritually, don’t really nourish my soul. At the end of the day, even if I’ve accomplished everything, I still feel a sense of emptiness. Why? Because I’ve been doing things on my own strength and forgetting to put God first. When we lose sight of Him, our priorities shift, and we become spiritually dry. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33 , “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This verse reminds me that when God isn’t our main focus, nothing else truly satisfies. Psalm 127:1 also says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” Without His presence in my daily life, even the most productive days feel meaningless. I’ve realized that true peace and direction come only when we invite God into our r...
My First Contribution as a Future Teacher Hi everyone! 😊 I’m currently studying to become an English teacher at UES. Although I haven’t graduated yet, I truly believe that learning is a journey best shared with others. This is my very first contribution to my community as I begin my teaching path. I’ve created a 4-week ESL lesson plan for young learners, with two classes per week. The goal is to help English learners begin to understand and use basic vocabulary in a fun and engaging way. By the end of the month, students will have learned vocabulary related to: • Greetings • Colors • Animals • Family • Classroom Objects • Nature Each week in this plan focuses on a specific topic, designed to gradually build students’ vocabulary and confidence in using English. The classes are interactive, using songs, games, flashcards, and group activities to make learning enjoyable and memorable. The structure is as follows: Week 1: Greetings and basic introductions Week...
