My First
Contribution as a Future Teacher
Hi everyone! 😊
I’m currently studying to become an English teacher at UES. Although I haven’t
graduated yet, I truly believe that learning is a journey best shared with
others. This is my very first contribution to my community as I begin my
teaching path. I’ve created a 4-week ESL lesson plan for young learners, with
two classes per week. The goal is to help English learners begin to understand
and use basic vocabulary in a fun and engaging way.
By the end of the month, students will have learned vocabulary related
to:
• Greetings
• Colors
• Animals
• Family
• Classroom Objects
• Nature
Each week in this plan focuses on a specific topic, designed to
gradually build students’ vocabulary and confidence in using English. The
classes are interactive, using songs, games, flashcards, and group activities
to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
The structure is as follows:
- Week 1: Greetings and basic introductions
- Week 2: Colors and animals
- Week 3: Family members and relationships
- Week 4: Classroom
objects and elements of nature
I’ve been working on this lesson plan since the beginning of July, and I
feel very excited about it because I’ve always had the desire to create an
English course. As a future teacher, I’ve learned that setting clear goals is
extremely important in order to guide both teaching and learning. That’s why
I’ve designed the course to work in both online and in-person formats. Since
the students are kids, the activities are highly creative and playful, helping
them stay engaged and motivated. From drawing and role-playing to digital games
and songs, every activity is meant to spark curiosity and make the learning
process meaningful and fun.
In conclusion, this lesson plan represents more than just a school
assignment it is the beginning of my journey as an educator. Through this small
but meaningful contribution, I hope to make a positive impact on young learners
and help them take their first steps in learning English. I believe that with
dedication, creativity, and love for teaching, we can inspire children to enjoy
learning and grow with confidence. This experience has taught me that being a
teacher is not just about delivering content, but about creating joyful,
purposeful learning moments. And this is only the beginning.
